Holland have already qualified from this group whilst Cameroon are already out so this is effectively a playoff for who finishes behind Holland, and probably plays Paraguay in the next round.
Japan may have been the outsiders in the group but they have performed with credit so far and actually got a better result against Holland than Denmark did, proving this is not as straight forward as you may think.
Match betting is a massively popular market and the first market most punters choose to look at as your decision in this market is likely to impact all other bets you place on the game.
Denmark haven't really impressed too much at this World Cup whilst Japan have actually looked pretty decent, it is worth remembering they got a better result against Holland than Denmark managed . With Denmark not yet looking good enough to win this game it could pay to back the draw at a decent price.
The Asian Handicap is an interesting bet as it usually gives one team a lead that should be enough to cancel out any superiority the favourites for the game have.
Japan are not as bad a side as many thought before the World Cup and they could feasibly win this, the fact that you are losing half your stake if the game ends up a draw means Japan look pretty good value in this market and are worth a small investment.
Take a look at recent results for the two sides to help decide what the best bets are in the over/under betting and also the correct score market.

Japan conceded just under a goal a game in qualifying and scored just over one goal a game but that was mostly against weaker opposition then they face in this match. They are at best capable of scoring one goal against good teams probably and in many games they will concede one or two goals. This is good for punters as Denmark are very good defensively so are unlikely to concede and Denmark are not great goalscorers themselves so this has the look of a 1-1 draw about it, this looks a good bet in the correct score betting whilst under 2.5 goals also has a very strong chance of coming in.
Some of the most fun markets to bet on are the player markets, such as first goalscorer and anytime goalscorer. They are usually relatively big odds and can give plenty of reward if you pick correctly.
Half of Denmark's goals in qualifying came from Soren Larsen and Nicklas Bendtner so these two players are clearly very important to the Danes and need to be fit for this game or there could be a slight upset. Japan have a fairly balanced team and don't rely too heavily on one single player, but Japanese player of the year Endo looks an important part of the side and his fitness is very important to Japan.
Nicklas Bendtner was not Denmark's top scorer in their qualifying campaign but he still chipped in with three goals and his physical presence may be too much for Japan and the Arsenal striker is well fancied to score the first goal of the game, and that will probably be the only goal Denmark score.
The latest tips that include the half time result in them, some of the most popular bets here are half time result and half time/full time.
This game has a decent chance of ending a draw and if the game is 0-0 obviously it will also be a draw at half time. Even if the game is 1-1 there is a good chance both the goals will come in the same half so the odds on draw / draw in this match seem very generous with two fairly evenly matched teams going head to head.
This is the sort of game that could end up going either way but whichever way it does go with these two teams involved it seems unlikely that there will be many goals. Under 2.5 goals may only end up winning by a fraction but a winner is a winner however far it wins by and under 2.5 goals looks the best bet in the match.
